Servelec, a leading provider of digital care software, has won a competitive tender to provide its Mosaic Social Care Case Management Software to West Lothian Council.

28/10/2021 – Servelec, a leading provider of digital care software, has won a competitive tender to provide its Mosaic Social Care Case Management Software to West Lothian Council.

The Council’s existing social care system has been operational since 1998 and has seen many iterations and upgrades over the years. Following an extensive review, the Council was looking to modernise its software, and sought a social care case management system via the Scotland Excel Framework – a leading non-profit organisation serving Scotland’s 32 local authorities.

The Council selected Mosaic, Servelec’s sector-leading social care case management software – the only solution to let care professionals manage adult, children’s, and finance cases on one platform. Mosaic can also integrate health and social care data, enabling professionals to collaborate directly, and helping to provide vital care more efficiently.

This is the first time a social care contract has been issued through the Scotland Excel Framework.

Servelec’s Mosaic increases efficiency and gives social care professionals the time and data they need to achieve more positive outcomes for people. The system simplifies how social workers record and monitor pathways and aligns your data with data from other services to save time and minimise risks. Mosaic is highly configurable, supporting local practice and processes to adapt to the changing needs of a local authority.

West Lothian Council was also looking for a tool that supported early intervention, which is key to helping vulnerable children and young people make positive steps into adulthood and providing better outcomes for families. Servelec integrates software solutions across social care, education, youth services and healthcare to share important information, helping local authorities to save time and reduce paperwork, freeing them up to care for the people who need it most.

A spokesperson at West Lothian Council, says: “We look forward to working constructively with Servelec following this tender award. Their Mosaic case management software will assist our staff in delivering essential services for West Lothian residents.”

David McKinney, managing director for local government at Servelec, says: “It is fantastic to be awarded the first ever social care contract through the Scotland Excel Framework. Servelec is committed to supporting Scotland’s local authorities, and we’re excited to begin implementing Mosaic, our leading social care case management software at West Lothian Council.”

West Lothian now joins East Lothian, Midlothian, Dundee, Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway as Mosaic customers. Scottish health boards will also soon benefit from Rio, Servelec’s electronic patient record, being rolled out across all NHS Boards in Scotland as part of the national Child and Public Health System in 2022.

The implementation of Mosaic is expected to be completed in March 2023.
